Graham Instone | Greenkeeper of the Year 2022We speak with Graham Instone (Dunnington BC, Yorkshire) after he scoops the Greenkeeper of the Year award at our second annual Awards! In the hotly-contested category – sponsored by Dennis and SISIS – Graham took the honours, largely for his innovative roadshows and sharing his knowledge with local clubs. He has been a member of his beloved Dunnington BC for over 40 years and has been looking after the green for the past 15 years.

Brilliant Burbage enjoy Bowls' Big Weekend bonanzaBowls' Big Weekend 2022 showcased our sport to thousands of newcomers, and Burbage Crusaders BC took full advantage of the opportunity. Our national initiative provided the chance for friends and family to give bowls a go. Up and down the country, over 750 Bowls England affiliated bowls clubs opened their doors to people who want to try a new sport, have some fun and meet new people. We headed to Burbage to chat to those trying our sport for the first time, with @Team England star Jamie-Lea Winch on hand to offer her advice along with many club volunteers.
